Remember That Day and This Day Too

REMEMBER  THAT  DAY  AND  THIS  DAY  TOO

When all is dark and gray, remember this day.

When you think you have been forgotten, remember this day.

Remember this day? Remember this day.

When the load seems too heavy to bear, remember this day.

When you start to think no one cares, remember this day.

Remember this day? Remember this day.

When you think you have no one with whom your problems

To really share, remember this day.

When everything seems to have failed, remember this day.

Remember this day? Remember this day.

When everything that could go wrong goes wrong,

Remember this day.

When you seem to be all alone without a song, remember this day.

Remember this day? Remember this day.

Jesus died and passed away, remember that day.

He died for us, remember that day.

To pay for our sins, remember that day.

Remember that day? Remember that day.

That we might go to live with him, remember that day.

That we might have joy and peace within, remember that day.

Remember that day? Remember that day.

When all is bright and gay, remember this day.

When you have been included in a small way,

remember this day.

When you are carefree all the way.

remember this day

Remember this day? Remember this day.

When you become so very popular, remember this day.

Remember this day? Remember this day.

When you have found someone whom you really  trust’

remember this day.

When everything seems to have passed with a gust,

remember this day.

Remember this day? Remember this day.

When everything that should go right goes right,

remember this day.

When you seem to be crowded with many a song as you walk along,

remember this day.

Remember this day? Remember this day.

Jesus arose and ascended,

remember this day.

He arose for us,

remember this day.

That we might accept Him,

remember this day.

Remember this day? Remember this day.

That we might accept Him within our hearts,

remember this day.

That we might have joy and peace within,

remember this day.

Remember this day? Remember this day.

When riding along in a car, truck, train or bus,

remember that day and this day too.

Or walking down the street,

remember that day and this day too.

Remember that day and this day too?

Remember that day and this day too.

When at school taking a test, at play, or rest,

remember that day and this day too.

Or at home or job all in a mess,

remember that day and this day too.

Or at home or at a job all in a mess,

remember that day and this day too.

Remember that day and this day too?

Remember that day and this day too.

When at Sunday School unprepared just occupying a seat,

Remember that day and this day too.

Or in Church and half asleep,

remember that day and this day too.

Remember that day and this day too?

Remember that day and this day too.

These two days should be the two most

important days to remember for you.

Remember that day and this day too.

So in all you think and do,

remember that day and this day too.

Remember that day and this day too?

Remember that day and this day too.

April of 1969.

This was the second poem that I wrote when  I was taken away from my family  in 1969.
