My Sweet Baby Girl

MY SWEET BABY GIRL

My sweet baby girl, I miss you so much

Now that you are gone from my touch

You were the best service dog I ever could have

And for all that you did, I am very glad

You kept me safe for many years

Now I constantly am full of fears

You knew me better than I knew myself

In all the ways that you did help

My life, many times, you did save

When your “service”,  to me, you gave

You did “C P R” to save my life

When my sleep apnea gave you a fright

You would jump up and down upon my chest

Until my next breath I could get

To this action I would awake

When my next breath I would finally take

When an asthma attack was on its way

Every time, a signal to me you gave

You went with me to Church, restaurants, and stores

Even my doctors, to/for you, opened their doors

All of my friends loved you, it was obvious to see

And gladly, if I had let them, would have taken you from me

My sweet baby girl, I miss you so much

Now that you are gone from my touch

Love,

Mommie (Bonnie Jean)
